Healing Haven Sanctuary is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), charity, Christian-based senior care facility founded with a vision to provide compassionate, holistic and expert nursing care to the elderly population. Founded by seasoned Critical Care Registered Nurses Sharon Dorsey, BSN, RN and Kristy Guyton, BSN, RN. Healing Haven Sanctuary is driven by a profound commitment to addressing the growing need for specialized senior care services in our low to moderate-income communıty.

In recent years, the landscape of senior care has undergone significant changes, marked by demographic shifts, evolving healthcare needs, and increasing demands for high-quality, person-centered care. Unfortunately, alongside these changes, we have witnessed a rise in the number of seniors experiencing neglect, inadequate medical attention, and both emotional and physical abuse in traditional care settings. There has been an ever-increasing cycle of admission-discharge-and readmissions to intensive care and medical surgical units. Often times patients present with states of acute neurological decline, malnutrition and unexplained bruises and fractures.  It is in response to these challenges and our collective passion for making a positive difference that Healing Haven Sanctuary was conceived.

With over 30 years of combined experience in critical care nursing, Sharon and Kristy recognize the importance of providing a safe, nurturing, and spiritually enriching environment for seniors requiring continuing nursing care following hospitalization, as well as those seeking respite, day/night services, or permanent residency options. Our facility is more than just a place of care; it’s a sanctuary where seniors can find healing, hope, and a sense of belonging. We are devoted to following the teachings of the Holy Bible and are dedicated to providing our residents and families with the love, care, compassion and respect they deserve. We strive to create a warm and welcoming community that feels like home, where every individual can experience the love and compassion of Christ.
